Female Lead, Nonprofit Journalist Late 20s to Mid-30s Maya is an earnest, career-driven woman who struggles with the pressures of familial expectations around her dating life. The character must transition from a hopeful connection-seeker to a more casual, cool approach before finding authenticity with Omar. Seeking an actress who can depict a range of emotions and a journey of self-discovery.

Layla

Female Supporting, Maya's Sister Mid 30s to Mid 40s Leila is Maya's intrusive but well-meaning sister, whose misguided advice and antics add humor and tension to the story. Looking for an actress who can convincingly play a sibling dynamic with Maya's character and bring comedic energy to the role.

Ibrahim Male, Supporting Role Late 50s to 60s Ibrahim is Omar's father. His warm smile hints at a life well lived. He is supportive and caring but has a stubborn and emotionally constipated side that he wrestles with to connect to his son and others. In his mid 60s, he was a successful architect who dedicated most of his life to providing for his family. He is a man of quiet wisdom, always ready with a comforting word or fatherly advice for his children. He is a cultural connoisseur and he is well versed in a wide variety of literature, music and art.
